Martin has had conduct of all types of cases over the years, involving murder, serious fraud, cases involving organised crime and the importation of drugs along with violence and firearms offences.
Since 2003 however, Martin has represented high-profile celebrity clients, a side of Martin’s practice that has significantly expanded in recent years. This development in his practice has grown due to his successful record in these cases and the tailored approach to meeting the needs of high-profile clients in a highly professional and discreet manner.
Given the fall-out following ‘Operation Yewtree’, Martin’s practice has focused on historical sex cases, which are highly sensitive for all concerned. MWT Legal Ltd has also established itself for providing administrative and litigation assistance to individuals who instruct counsel under the Direct Access Scheme.
This has now developed to such an extent that providing litigation assistance to both individuals charged with criminal offences and instructed counsel makes up in excess of 80% of MWT Legal Ltd’s practice.
In addition Martin has worked as a consultant with both Lansbury Worthington Solicitors and Brooklyn Solicitors in conducting legally aided work over the last 13 years.
Prior to this, Martin worked with three high-profile firms of solicitors in South London, developing his skills over a period of 30 years.
